Travel to Savannah

Traveling to Savannah for a trip to the Juliette Gordon Low Girl Scout National Center is always a high note for many Junior and CASE troops!

The Center has prepared an excellent, comprehensive booklet entitled "Birthplace Bound".  Call the Center at (912) 233-4501 to obtain a copy.  The booklet contains all the information you will need to help you plan your trip to the Center and to the surrounding area. Follow the deadlines and required forms closely, or risk losing your reservation! The national Girl Scout website has also updated a great deal of information on visiting the birthplace (see links below).

Plan on making reservations one year to eighteen months in advance. The Birthplace began taking reservations beginning October 1, 2005 on October 1, 2003.

In addition to "Birthplace Bound", plan to attend "Steps to Savannah" training offered by the Council.

Also check out the "Steps to Savannah" planning module published by the Council. It contains a list of age-appropriate activities designed to help you get the most out of your visit to the Center and to Savannah. You can pick up a copy of the module "Steps to Savannah" from the small file box of Council Programs that is stored on The Porch, or request one from Council.
